HARC Research Scientist to present at North Dakota Energy Conference and Expo
The Department of Energy's Upper-West CHP TAP will be presenting at the North Dakota Energy Conference & Expo in Grand Forks on November 14th. Andra Wilcox, Research Scientist – HARC Energy and Sustainability, will present Electrification of the Oilfield: Opportunities for Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and Waste Heat to Power (WHP).
CHP and WHP advances introduce compelling economics for companies, while providing definitive local environmental benefits associated with the reduced emissions and the distributed electrical production. More opportunities exist within industry to capture heat from compressors, engines, and other equipment and convert into usable, reliable energy for operations.
This presentation will engage O&G companies in an interactive dialogue about what it takes to make CHP/WHP work for them in upstream and midstream operations and will cover drivers and strategies that have helped facilities in this region successfully adopt CHP/WHP as well as discuss case studies, lessons learned and best practices.
