A series of decisions this year facing the entities that control water resources in Montgomery County could not only affect local water bills in The Woodlands area, but some experts say they could also have long-lasting environmental repercussions.

These entities are examining the future of groundwater

usage ahead of a regional decision on new long-term groundwater usage rules that must be adopted in early 2022.
