HARC is delighted to announce that Dr. Margaret Cook, Deputy Director of Climate Equity and Resilience, has been recognized with the 2024 Power Player Award for Outstanding Energy Policy Advisor.
Presented by PowerHouse Texas, the award was part of their inaugural PowerPlayer Awards Celebration, held on October 18, 2024. This event celebrated trailblazers driving transformative change in Texas’ energy economy and advancing the clean energy transition. Leaders from political offices, community organizations, nonprofits, and industry sectors gathered to honor achievements and foster collaboration on key energy issues critical to Texans.
Dr. Cook was among eight distinguished honorees recognized for making a lasting impact in Texas. Her work at HARC, including leading initiatives like the Climate Equity and Community Resilience Initiative (CECR) and the Texas Solar for All Coalition to lower energy burdens through equitable solar access, exemplifies her dedication to equitable, resilient, and sustainable energy solutions.
