July 28: Educator Workshop on Urban Heat Islands

Calling science educators, grades 6th – 12th: Join HARC researchers from Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC) to learn how temperature differentials occur and why they matter in the built environment.

HARC, in partnership with CEC and EcoRise, will host this workshop for educators to learn more and bring this into their classroom. Meet additional researchers, hear about HARC projects, and get a behind-the-scenes tour of the HARC building and campus. With staff from EcoRise, create additional STEM activities based on HARC research that will be shared with teachers in the region.
