Luis Hernandez is a Grants and Contracts Specialist at HARC, joining the team in January 2025. In his role, Luis ensures compliance with Uniform Guidance and sponsor-specific terms for sponsored projects, finalizes account setups for new projects, and oversees the allocation of expenditures to ensure they are allowable, allocable, and reasonable. He also provides essential support to the Director of Business Operations.
Before coming to HARC, Luis served as a Grant Coordinator with the College of Science at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he assisted faculty members in managing their sponsored projects. His responsibilities included hiring research assistants, confirming faculty and lab team efforts, and reviewing and approving research expenditures.
Luis holds a degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
