Here are Houston’s ‘hot zone’ neighborhoods, based on new study

At the same time of day in the Houston area, temperatures can vary by nearly 20 degrees among neighborhoods, a new study finds.

Researchers with the Houston Advanced Research Center, the city of Houston, Harris County Public Health, and The Nature

Conservancy of Texas published a map January 5 displaying the range in temperatures collected by 84 volunteers throughout Houston and parts of Harris County on August 7.
