The oil-spill settlement will be utilized to restore underwater seagrass and to acquire acres of Clear Creek to serve as a buffer to help reduce the amount of pollution entering Galveston Bay. The Galveston Bay Report Card, a collaboration between HARC and the Galveston Bay Foundation with funding from Houston Endowment, is set to be released on August 12, 2015.
