Mr. Zalmai Niazi joined HARC as a Grants and Contract Specialist. In this role, Mr. Niazi manages contract compliance and the administration of grants for HARC’s various publicly-funded projects.
Mr. Niazi brings extensive knowledge of U.S. Government rules and regulations. A natural leader, he empowers and manages staff across areas of finance, human resources, and contract management. He also has extensive experience in communicating cross culturally in both training and one-on-one settings.
He is a highly accomplished finance professional with over 15 years of experience working in international development across multiple funding sources.
Most recently, Mr. Niazi worked for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Kabul, Afghanistan. In this role he was a principle advisor to USAID contracting and agreement officers on acquisition and assistance activities including pre-award, contract management, post-award and the closing of large contracts and agreements.
Mr. Niazi received his Master of Business in Marketing from Preston University in Islamabad, Pakistan. He also received his Bachelor of Business in Finance from Preston University.
