U.S. Environmental Protection Agency accepts Double Bayou Watershed Protection Plan
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has reviewed and accepted the Double Bayou Watershed Protection Plan (WPP) as meeting the EPA’s guidelines for successful watershed-based plans. Area landowners and citizens interested in the implementation of the Double Bayou Watershed Protection Plan are invited to the Plan Wrap-Up meeting on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Double Bayou Community Building in Double Bayou, Texas.
The Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC), Shead Conservation Solutions and the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) partnered with Double Bayou Watershed stakeholders to develop a voluntary WPP that addresses water quality impairments by implementing management measures.
